Commercial Use & Ownership Guidelines
This page summarizes how Vetro and its providers handle inputs and outputs. It is informational only and not legal advice.
Commercial use
Yes — you can use the tracks you generate commercially. Vetro generates music through fal.ai on the MiniMax Music model, which fal.ai licenses for commercial use under its partnership with MiniMax. There is no per-use royalty and no separate license to buy: the credits you spend on a generation cover it.
What that does not mean is that you hold a copyright you could enforce against someone else. Copyright in work generated by an AI system without meaningful human authorship is unsettled in most countries, and in the United States the Copyright Office has declined to register purely AI-generated material. Treat your track as yours to use, not as yours to police.
fal.ai’s Terms of Service govern the underlying AI services, and the license attaches to the specific model. Please review them for the latest rules on permitted use and limitations.
Read: fal.ai Terms of Service.
Your inputs
fal.ai’s terms state that you must have the rights, consents, and permissions needed to submit any inputs, and that you are responsible for them. Do not upload content you do not have rights to use.
See the “Customer Input” section in fal.ai Terms of Service.
Distribution
Outputs from AI systems may be non-unique and could be similar to outputs generated for other users. fal.ai’s terms state that outputs may not be original and may not be non-infringing.
See the AI Features/Output Content disclaimers in fal.ai Terms of Service.
Labeling AI-Generated Music
MiniMax, whose model generates the audio, asks that AI-generated output be clearly labeled so listeners are not misled. Several platforms now require the same thing when you upload: check the disclosure rules of wherever you are publishing.
